Magnified egoportraits, retouched images or unrealistic photos, is it still possible to have access to the unvarnished truth through the eye of the camera? Against the tide of the quest for perfection that invades our lives and our newsfeed, photographer Bénédicte Brocard invited more than twenty well-known women of all ages and backgrounds to let themselves be photographed in their private lives and then to choose the photo that best represents who they really are. A real exercise in humility! True, These candid shots highlight different facets of authenticity and allow us to discover these women in a way that is different from media expectations.
